For physiotherapy in Slovenia, patients do not receive a standard specialist referral, but a physiotherapy work order. A referral is usually used for specialist appointments, for example with a physiatrist, which is not the same as physiotherapy treatment. If your doctor refers you to physiotherapy, you need a work order or electronic physiotherapy work order to book an appointment.
The duration depends on the type of therapy, your condition and the treatment plan. A typical session takes around 45-60 minutes, while some shorter physical-modality treatments may take less. After the first assessment, we recommend the most suitable course of therapy.
