Bioptron light therapy

Polarized light therapy to support wound healing, reduce pain, and improve microcirculation.

01 /Service description

Bioptron is a clinically tested and certified medical device for light therapy. The system emits light with specific physical characteristics: it is linearly polarized (waves oscillate in parallel planes), polychromatic (a broad spectrum of wavelengths, but without harmful UV radiation), and low-energy. This combination allows the light to penetrate tissue and trigger biostimulative processes at the cellular level without causing overheating or tissue damage.

02 /Indications & benefits

Who it is for.

Who it is for

  • Wound Healing: Post-operative wounds, ulcers (venous leg ulcers), pressure sores (decubitus), and burns.
  • Dermatological Conditions: support in the management of scars (fresh and keloid), acne, and psoriasis.
  • Pain Conditions: Rheumatological disorders, lower back pain, and neck pain.
  • Sports Injuries: Muscle strains, sprains, and contusions.

Key benefits

  • Improved Microcirculation: Increased blood flow in capillaries, enhancing oxygen delivery to the tissue.
  • Tissue repair support: light therapy is used as adjunctive support for wound-healing and skin-repair processes.
  • Inflammatory response: the therapy is used as an adjunct in managing local tissue irritation and sensitivity.
  • Pain modulation: in some patients, it may contribute to reduced pain perception and muscle relaxation.
03 /Treatment process

How the treatment works.

The therapy is generally painless and relaxing when indications and contraindications are observed.

  • Preparation: The area of skin must be completely clean and dry (free of clothing or bandages) to allow unimpeded light penetration.
  • Positioning: The therapist directs the light beam perpendicularly (at a 90° angle) to the treated surface at a distance of approximately 10 cm.
  • Relaxation: The patient remains still during the session. The light does not generate intense heat; the patient may feel only a mild, pleasant warmth.
  • Duration: A single session typically lasts from 4 to 10 minutes per field, depending on the diagnosis.
